“I started working with Jon when I was a freshman in high school around 5 years ago to get advice on how to build muscle mass by working out. At the time, I had a relatively lean frame and wanted to increase my body mass. I was also completely new to the gym and strength training. Jon helped show me the ropes by giving me a simple workout to start off, and increasing the intensity as I grew stronger over time. He has worked with me to refine my workout regimens to new life changes, such as the start of college at James Madison University. Since I started working with Jon, I have gained around 25 pounds and have drastically increased my strength and weight capabilities. “I am a 73-year-old man with Diabetes and a left knee with arthritis. My doctor has told me that I needed to do two main things: (1) lose some weight to take the pressure off my knee and (2) strengthen my knees and core to postpone the need to have my knees replaced. I have been working with Jon for several months, and I have been very impressed with his workouts (which are always just a little different and keep me motivated) and with the results that I have seen. Whereas I was holding on to the railing of steps and taking them one at a time, always going up on my good leg and coming down on the bad, I am now able to take the steps as one would normally do with confidence and without clinging to the rail.
